Terms of Service
Clean Desk for macOS · Effective 11 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of Clean Desk, a menu bar app for macOS (“the app”). “We” means the developer of Clean Desk, reachable at hello@cleandesk.me. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. What the app does
On a schedule, or when you ask, the app moves items from a folder you choose into dated folders in another folder on your Mac. What it moves depends on the rules you set in the app.
2. Your files and your choices
- You choose the folders, the schedule and the rules. Check them before you turn on a schedule.
- Keep your own backups, for example with Time Machine. The app is designed not to lose files, but no software is free of defects.
- You are responsible for having the right to store the files you archive, and for the space they take.
3. Price
The app is currently free. If that ever changes, the change will not apply to anything you have already received without your agreement.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law or to violate the rights of others.
5. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
7. Changes and ending
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. You can stop using the app at any time by quitting it and deleting it; your archived files stay where they are.
